Kids Corner: At-Home Snow Recipe
Kids love playing in the snow but the harsh cold during these winter months can make it difficult to enjoy it outside. So why not bring the fun indoors? With just two ingredients, you can create your very own snow at home. Toss it in a bin or tray along with some animal figurines and it is perfect for sensory play. Kids can even build a miniature snowman with it.
Materials:
Baking soda
Shaving foam
Directions:
Add approximately equal parts baking soda to shaving foam in a bowl or bin.
Mix it up with a spoon until it begins to clump up, sprinkling a little more baking soda if needed.
Once the mix comes together, work it thoroughly with your hands. When it’s ready, you should be able to clump it up and your hands should be left fairly clean after handling it.
