Kids Corner: Easy Paper Cup Car

Materials:
1 paper cup
4 plastic bottle caps
1 bamboo skewer (0.11 in diameter x 11.81 in long)
1 straw
Marker or paint (optional)
2 wiggly eyes (1 inch)
Scissors
Hot glue gun

Directions:
Step 1. (Optional) Paint the 4 plastic bottle caps for the wheels. Let the paint dry completely.


Step 2. Ask an adult to cut the straw into two pieces, each about 3 inches long.


Step 3. Cut the bamboo skewer into two pieces, each about 4 inches long, slightly longer than the straw.


Step 4. Glue the two straw pieces vertically, opposite to the paper cup, leaving a 2-inch space in between.


Step 5. Insert each bamboo skewer piece into each straw (alongside).


Step 6. Ask an adult to hot glue the 4 plastic bottle caps at the end of each bamboo skewer to form the wheels.


Step 7. Glue the wiggly eyes on the bottom of the paper cup and draw a happy smile (optional).
