Ray's Siding: 30 Years of Excellence in Home Transformation

For over 30 years, Ray’s Siding Company, LLC has been a trusted name in exterior remodeling in Fredericksburg, VA. Founded by Ray King and now helmed by his son, Michael King, and his wife, Chrissy, this family-owned business continues to uphold the values that have earned them a reputation for excellence: honesty, integrity, and a genuine commitment to customer care.

Specializing in siding, roofing, gutters, decks, windows, and doors, Ray’s Siding has evolved into a multi-service company, but its core philosophy remains unchanged. "We understand that choosing a remodeling company can be overwhelming, so we focus on listening to clients' needs and treating their homes with the same care we would our own,” says Michael King, who took over the reins of the business when his father, Ray, passed away.

"We're more than just a business," says Chrissy King. "We're a family, and we want our customers to feel like part of that family. We listen to their needs, avoid high-pressure sales tactics, and always focus on delivering lasting results.”

This customer-first approach, combined with the highest standards of craftsmanship– their certified team uses top-grade materials and the latest techniques, ensuring each home is “beautiful and durable”– sets Ray’s Siding apart from others.

"Our biggest inspiration is transforming homes,” says Michael. “It’s incredibly satisfying to take a dated home and breathe new life into it. We enjoy turning our clients’ visions into something tangible, something they can live in and love for years to come." Whether it’s updating the siding on a family home or installing new energy-efficient windows, Ray’s Siding takes pride in the lasting impact their work has on the community. "We love knowing that our work makes a real difference in the lives of our neighbors," says Chrissy.

Mike and Chrissy King’s commitment to the community extends far beyond the homes they remodel. The couple is actively involved with the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association and proudly sponsors the Fredericksburg Nationals. Their dedication to giving back is reflected in their support for local charities like the SPCA, and they’re grateful to the Fredericksburg community for supporting their family business throughout the years. In their downtime, the Kings enjoy spending time with their sons and grandsons in the Northern Neck or catching a game at the Virginia Credit Union Baseball Stadium.

The team at Ray’s Siding embraces a lighthearted, family-oriented work environment. With a close-knit group of employees, the Kings create a space where everyone can joke with each other and celebrate milestone moments. "The familial essence among our employees is what makes work fun," says Chrissy. "We’re like one big family, and that energy shines through in everything we do."

At the heart of Ray’s Siding Company is a deep respect for the homes they work on and the clients they serve. “We don’t just see homes; we see the dreams and aspirations of our neighbors,” says Mike. “Our mission is to help turn your current home into your dream home with the same care and quality we’ve been offering for over 30 years.” With this philosophy, Ray’s Siding continues to be more than just a remodeling business—they are partners in creating the homes and memories that their neighbors will cherish for years to come.

“At Ray’s Siding, you’re not just hiring a contractor,” says Mike, “you’re partnering with a team committed to doing what’s right.”
